The welcome aboard picnic for the Class of 2012
has been scheduled for Saturday 17 May 2008 at the CG NAVCEN on Telegraph Road
in Alexandria. Start time 12:00. All parents, family members and
Candidates for the Class of 2012 are invited.
The pizza party on 24 April was successful. 23 pizza's
and 9 liters of soda were consumed by about 50 Mid-Atlantic Midshipmen.
Carol Guest left several dozen of her homemade cookies from the afternoon Cookie

The Mission of the United States Merchant Marine Academy
Parents’ Mid-Atlantic Parents Club is to promote and support the Academy, its
goals, programs and objectives, its Regiment of Midshipmen, faculty, staff and
alumni. We will also serve as a support organization for Plebe Candidates,
their families and all Midshipmen and their families from the Mid-Atlantic
region during their years at the Academy.

Point. Some of the things we do is host pizza parties during the year,
send goody bags for finals at each trimester and offer tickets to the annual
Joint Service Academy Ball.
